Christmas in Lent! We had the Te Deum at Morning Prayer, as well as “the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness”. #Annunciation
Prayerbook open to a heading saying “Morning Prayer, Christmas Season”. Underneath are the words, “O Lord, open our lips” and then in bold, “and our mouth shall proclaim your”. [The next word isn’t visible in the photo but it’s “praise”!]

#SundayRamble Started off lovely but hitting TWO diversions, one not even labelled and the other in force “until 6 July 2024” (“four”!) was pretty annoying. Still, the legs have been stretched and the minds cleared. #AfternoonWalk
Narrow path through a patch of woodland - bare, narrow tree trunks and last autumn’s leaves on the ground. Large sign on a tree trunk in a wide, farm clearing, reading “5 mph ONLY. Free range kids, dogs, & feral cats” Wide, level path to some new houses, blocked by a high fence. If you zoomed in you would see more fencing beyond and a piece of building machinery, maybe a bulldozer. High fence with several signs attached to it (and at least one that has fallen to the ground), indicating temporary diversions to a public footpath. Beyond the fence are several skips / dumpsters.

Well done, our own Christ the King community singers, and huge thanks to the Mayor of Stevenage, Jim Brown, for inviting us to take part in this afternoon’s Multi-Faith Gathering.
