Our public lands are our common ground.

When Sen. Mike Lee pushed to sell them off to billionaire developers, Veterans, ranchers, anglers, and everyday Americans stood together and stopped him.

Because this land isn’t for sale—it’s part of who we are. And we’re not done fighting for it.

We’ve stopped the sale of our public lands before, and we need to do it again. Steve Pearce is gunning for the BLM so he can privatize 245M acres of American land.

Don't let "Selloff Steve" win. Call your Senator and sign the petition to block this nomination.

"First reports are always wrong." It’s a military cliché that DHS leadership seems to have forgotten. Doug Krugman breaks down the dangerous pattern of shoot-first-ask-questions-later at DHS, and why Congress needs to step in now to force accountability.

For Army veteran James Barry, nature offers the peace that service often takes away. He says protecting roadless forests isn’t just about conservation, but about preserving the quiet sanctuaries where veterans can heal and find their way home. 🌲🇺🇸

Column: ‘Roadless’ forests help veterans like me find our way home
The Forest Service should protect the few last big pieces of ground where the roads stop and the quiet begins, U.S. Army veteran James Barry writes.

Vet Voice engaged in many of the suits against these deployments and spoke out early and often against them. This is a huge win, but the war is not over. We will stay vigilant and will not rest.

Our CEO @janessagoldbeck.bsky.social’s journey from student to Marine to leader of @vetvoicefoundation.bsky.social shows the power of service. We are proud to be at the forefront of the fight to protect democracy and our military from being misused by the Trump administration. 🇺🇸

"It's a political gift to fossil fuel donors that will raise electricity bills for U.S. households and increase our risk of blackouts." - @janessagoldbeck.bsky.social, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and CEO of Vet Voice Foundation.

We are pleased the court agreed with us: deploying National Guard troops in this manner is unwarranted and damaging to our military. Maintaining the clear line between domestic policing and military service is essential for our institutional integrity.

Trump suspending offshore wind under the guise of "national security" is a political gift to fossil fuel donors that actually makes us less safe. It spikes energy bills, increases blackout risks, and weakens our energy independence. Clean energy IS security.

“Why should I care if criminals are killed?” I see this comment everywhere. Here’s why it matters: these boat strikes aren’t war, they’re law enforcement. When the government can execute people without trial, the rule of law collapses. Due process protects Americans and U.S. service members.

BREAKING: In a case that Vet Voice Foundation filed an amicus brief along with States United, the Judge has blocked the deployment of National Guard troops in Los Angeles! We argued to the judge that the deployment damages the cohesiveness and reputation of our great military.

Trump is backtracking on his statement that he has no problem releasing video showing a second strike on Venezuelan survivors as they clung to wreckage. Trust in our military depends on some transparency. Steal this graphic, share it, & demand the video be released. #NoForeverWar

Via @theUCMJattorney: New info reveals the shipwrecked survivors were defenseless. The law says even in "war," they weren't targetable. This isn’t a Non-International Armed Conflict, so the strikes are under human rights and criminal law, not the Law of Armed Conflict. It’s murder, not a war crime.

Did the Hegseth boat strikes violate the Geneva Conventions? What is the legal definition of a war crime? What law governs? Here’s the law behind the alleged “kill everyone” order...

At a DC roundtable with Congressman Mark Takano & Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Vet Voice Foundation's Kayla Williams warned that the current rollback of VA services isn't just budget cuts—she says it's part of a larger Project 2025 plan "to chip away at the role of government as a force for good."

Vet Voice Foundation CEO Janessa Goldbeck warns a new Pentagon order is "an attempt by the president to normalize a national, militarized police force."

She fears it could be used to "suppress turnout and disrupt the fair operation of elections."

"We have to draw a line in the sand, respectfully, firmly, and without equivocation. This is not normal. This is not American, and this is not what the military is for," said Janessa Goldbeck, a Marine Corps veteran and the CEO of Vet Voice Foundation.

“That’s my biggest fear. Somebody mistakenly pulls a trigger... and that causes an escalation that then creates even more pretext for the President to militarize further or take a more aggressive step.” - Janessa Goldbeck, Marine Corps veteran and CEO of the Vet Voice Foundation.

Today, Vet Voice Foundation's Janessa Goldbeck and Paul Eaton were among former military briefing Governor JB Pritzker on Trump's continuing threats against the people of Illinois, and the dangers of his Federalizing the National Guard for that purpose.

Janessa Goldbeck, a Marine veteran and CEO of Vet Voice Foundation, says Trump's SecDef Hegseth is more focused on "stoking grievance than strengthening the force," adding that he is wasting taxpayer dollars on a "cartoonish" idea of toughness.
