The provision of the 14th amendment that the Supreme Court unanimously wrote out of the constitution existed for a reason. Its drafters knew what would happen if you allowed insurrectionists back into power.

Just saw a Comcast ad touting their community service helping people replace their old, tattered flag. Nice thought, but how about helping the needy pay utility bills, sheltering the homeless, or feeding the hungry. If they do those things, make ads about *them*.

Demand your GOP congressman cut their budget and lay off some staff.

Congress spends 6.4billion/year on their own operations.

Wherever possible please buy your books directly from authors and/or publishers. Even ebooks (then Amazon can't delete them either). We make a better cut and you get the same thing or better, plus Bezos and ilk don't get richer. Win win win.

So tired of hearing that Trump won majority of votes. Majority is anything over 50%. Some math:
DJT 49.8%
KH 48.3%
Other 1.9%
48.3+1.9=50.2
50.2% voted against DJT. Now, *that’s* a majority.
He won greater number of votes not to be mistaken as majority.

Just read on New Republic that trump is banning use of paper straws, saying that they explode and don’t hold up in something hot. Dear Lord. Please don’t tell me he tried to drink something hot through a straw!

A quote from the Washington Post:

“Trump told reporters Sunday that the United States will make Gaza “into a very good site for future development by somebody,”

This from a congressional aide:

They delete emails and trash written letters. They count calls. Make 6 calls a day. 1 Rep, 2 Senators. Local and DC offices. Only talk about one or two concerns. Give your zip code so they know you’re in their district. They are listening. They want your vote.

Mitch McConnell was interviewed on 60 Minutes tonight. It doesn’t sound like he’ll be taking a stand for democracy. He could have prevented all this!

From Washington Post

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) and some other senators have signaled that they are open to supporting Trump’s nominees and have agreed with some of Kennedy’s views on the health-care industry.

If you live in PA, call and email Fetterman. Vote no on Kennedy.
