Here's my comic I made for AFC this year, it's "My Pal Edie"! I printed a bunch of actual mini books but now I'm sharing it online. I put an icon in the bottom of these pics so you can pretend it's an actual book, since I did think a lot about the page order. I'll be posting 1 page a day. 1/12
A 1950's style comic cover styled after an Atlas comics comic. The main cover picture features two characters, Edie, a dog girl with long and fluffy blonde hair, and Stacy, a cat girl with short dark hair. Edie is sitting on a stool in front of a vanity mirror with a piece of cake sitting on the vanity tabletop, holding a fork with a piece of cake on it. Stacy stands over to the right, in a quizzical posture. Edie is saying "The doctor told me to watch my sugar intake." Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.
