This is genuinely 100% how the reformation system works in my lore. Person has to die first to come back good as new, so people get bad ended for something as minor as a cold.

Kylie didn't see much a point to speedrunning, less so when Equilius challenged himself streaming TLoN 2 in her guts before he could be let back out. So she didn't have much sympathy for him once the donation incentive was met and he was required to reach 100% before digestion kicked in.

To save thousands on conventional medicine, minimum wage workers are instead shrunk down to microbial sizes before being injected into the patients to fight the viruses and bacteria in gladiatorial combat.
Of course, the patient won't be seeing any of this decrease in cost.
