The 2023 WGA Strike was a difficult experience for all members, but also marked a high point in member solidarity & guild communication. When the strike ended, that communication stopped completely—and as a result, I’ve watched us grow more disconnected & allow our hard-earned solidarity to wither.
Uber price was $60 on my phone but $120 on my wife’s and I’m a feminist but it still stings.

I’d rather Paramount buy Warner than Universal
I’d rather Netflix buy Warner than Amazon/Apple

Some mixed news: I did not win the election for WGA Secretary-Treasurer but I did win the estate sale auction for Larry King's 1988 Cable Ace Award for Best Talk Show.

I have no idea how many people this will reach, but Van has always been a solid #WGA choice. If you have any say in the election process, please consider him. He legitimately cares about writers and the industry as a whole.

The Mission Impossible 5D Optical Data Drive sounds silly but for what it’s worth, that’s the real name for a real storage technology.

Glad to see him out of DC and back to doing what he does best, crashing his exploding spaceships.

It’s actually very simple: HBO is the real life astronaut that inspired the HBO Max toy.

Fellow WGA members: I thoroughly urge you to read *both* the materials released by the Guild and individually released statements by Accused Members before making your choice on penalizations.

I volunteered to help an autistic writer involved in one of the WGA disciplinary appeals currently before the membership. The sloppy, unprofessional way the guild handled itself during the process was very embarrassing to me as a member.

L.A. has the most insane gas price spread.
Same side of the street, same brand of gas, but about 1000 yards north…$1.20 cheaper!?

With studios abandoning DEI initiatives, what will agents & managers tell white clients who still can’t get work?! Anyone remember what their go to excuse was back in the 80s and 90s?
