Trying to make progress in this project tonight while listening to the Mariners game. Baseball blocks on front, red/patchwork panels on back. I’ve got one more patchwork panel to sew then I can start sandwiching.

Before and after fiber photos. I did my first try at combing this Tibetan Lamb fiber that I recently washed and dried. It was quite matted/felted so it took a lot of work to comb it. I did about half of the amount I had.

Today’s adventure: my first time scouring wool and alpaca. Now to learn to comb/card it!

I got a box of scraps off buy nothing and spent the afternoon cutting them into usable pieces. Very satisfying!

I went to a guild meeting today where the topic was scouring sheep fleeces. I’ve never tried, but I have some fleece samples that I was given that need washing and carding. I’m going to try it out in a couple weekends. I hope it works! I’d like to spin and knit with the samples!

I won this gift basket at the Whidbey Spin In, and then won a second basket that I shared with my friends! Loads of fiber and yarn! Plus I bought a braid too. I’m set for awhile.

Very excited that I got a huge box of assorted fibers on marketplace for $100. 4-8 ounce bags of different kinds of fibers, braids, it’s going to be so fun to spin!!

Got a delivery today of my order from Yarn Barn of Kansas! Accessories for my spinning wheel. Very excited to have a lazy Kate finally and a plying flyer.

Just ordered some parts for my used Lendrum wheel that I recently got. Was worried that they might become hard to get if I waited. I got the fast flyer and the plying flyer, plying bobbin and a lazy Kate. Hope they’re worthwhile. Got an extra drive band too.
