In a survey & interviews with home care workers, our team heard about a number of benefits offered - often temporarily - during the pandemic. Unions played an important role in obtaining these benefits. Providing these benefits, including paid sick leave, is critical for health workforce retention.
Paid leave is a critical benefit needed by healthcare workers, which became ever-apparent during the pandemic. Work led by CHWS investigator Danbi Lee identified how this and other benefits evolved during the pandemic and beyond.
