Today we congratulate the Youth Forum of Boden for receiving the Youth Council of the Year award. All year, work is ongoing to involve young people in developing proposals, thoughts and ideas for Youth Council Day – a day of debates, motion writing and meetings with decision-makers. Inspiring!

An exchange with people from Norrbotten in 2018 gave German Caroline Pfriender's life a new direction. A few weeks ago, she arrived here and started working for us. Here, she will encourage more people to take the same step she did – a new life in the north.

Norrbotten ❤️ the theatre! When our county theatre Norrbottensteatern stages the play ‘A Christmas Carol‘ (Charles Dickens) is it impossible to get tickets. ‘A Christmas Carol’ premiered on Saturday, and by the day before, all 5,000 tickets for 29 performances had already been sold out.

The EU has raised its ambitions to become more competitive. This involves large funds and simpler rules, in line with the #Draghi report. Europaforum Norra Sverige, of which we are a member, has identified five key areas to to prioritise. Here's an overview of our comments to the @ec.europa.eu.

In May 2026, we will organise the Europaforum conference. Three years after the European Commission's meeting in Kiruna, we will gather there to talk about the importance of the place for EU competitiveness. Save the dates 7-8th of May. Maybe even the 6th, since we'll arrange technical visits then.
