I’ve finally decided to start up my account here! As an intro to myself: I’m a historian of early America currently in my first year of UAlbany’s history PhD program. I worked in museums for eight years before deciding to embark on the PhD journey.
Does anyone have history podcast recommendations? My two favorites right now are Drafting the Past and Ben Franklin’s World. Looking for some more to listen to over the upcoming break!

Got my TA assignment for next semester! I’ll be online teaching for the first time which will be great given NY’s snowy weather (like today!), but everyone I’ve talked to has said it’s harder than in-person. I guess I’ll be finding out for myself soon!
