This book is absolutely gorgeous and I have simply devoured it over the past few days. Although fiction, it certainly reflects real life prejudices and the impact of underestimating children.

It might be an older piece of research, but as Alexa Moore comments, understanding young people's experiences are crucial. Erasing research that provides a platform for their voices is dreadful 😔

I'm teaching RSE in a school this week. I think schools really need to focus on a massive programme of radical socialisation. Make them sites of joy and possibility. Put that first and then think about the curriculum (inc RSE). Not the other way round. Academic achievement will also follow.
