Even when we’re following Jesus closely, storms still come. But they’re not a sign He’s left us—they’re often the very places where our faith is stretched, and where we see His power and goodness most clearly. He’s still in the boat, and He’s still in control.

Jesus knew they’d scatter. Knew they’d leave Him. And yet—He still loved, still trusted, still welcomed them back. He’s not surprised by our weakness. He sees it—and stays. Picks us up, dusts us off, and walks with us. What a Saviour.

Peter, James & John saw Jesus shining in glory on the mountain—now He’s sorrowful in the garden. Following Jesus means both awe & agony. If you're feeling low, you're not outside His story. He’s been there—and He’ll meet you in your Gethsemane too.

Jesus is on the move again. Some follow straight away. Others hesitate—they’ve got plans. But His call isn’t a suggestion. If He’s the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then He must be followed—even when it’s inconvenient. What’s holding you back?

Jesus knew the suffering ahead but He didn’t hang back. He led the way. The disciples followed, astonished & afraid. We don’t follow a distant Saviour. Jesus goes ahead of us into pain, uncertainty & transformation. Whatever you’re facing, He’s already there clearing the path and calling you forward

How kind, tender & patient Jesus is.
He knew what the disciples could handle—and gave them hope, not pressure.

He still does the same with us.
He won’t give us more than we can bear.
And even when life feels heavy,
there’s always hope in the power & presence of the Holy Spirit.

The disciples couldn’t imagine Jesus leaving as a good thing—but He knew they’d need the Holy Spirit to become who they were made to be. That promise wasn’t just for them. The same Spirit is with us today—guiding, empowering, and never leaving us alone.

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to look around for help—at people, plans, distractions. But Psalm 121 reminds us: even the mountains aren’t our true help. God is. Jesus is the only one who truly sustains, saves, and helps. Let’s lift our eyes and fix our gaze on Him.

Words carry weight — they can bless or wound, speak life or drain it. This blessing isn’t just poetry, it’s God’s heart. So today, let’s speak life: over our families, our neighbours, our community — even ourselves. God sees you. God’s with you. God’s for you.

I got such a lovely gift today … I’m definitely the one the Good Shepherd gnome is holding.
May 20, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Jesus doesn’t leave us overwhelmed — He gives us His Spirit and true peace. Not fragile peace, but the kind that steadies us when life is hard. If today feels heavy, pause. His peace is yours. Let it hold you.

Great talk from Phil on Sunday about staying connected to Jesus, the True Vine. When we remain in Him, His life flows through us — and the fruit shows up in how we live. Love, joy, peace… it all grows from staying close.

Great word from Ness on Sunday, helping us reflect on Jesus the Good Shepherd — the one who knows us, leads us, and never lets us go. 🐑❤️ @dioceseoflondon.bsky.social @churchofengland.org

We can lament and still trust. Like Habakkuk, we name what’s broken — and still say, “We’re counting on You, Lord.” His rule will prevail. Not fear. Not chaos. Not despair. God is still good. Still in charge. And that’s enough to hold onto.
May 14, 2025 at 6:01 AM
Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice…” — but what if we truly listened? Not just heard, but tuned in with hearts that say, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” He is speaking — we just need to quiet the noise so we’re ready to follow.
May 11, 2025 at 10:25 AM
Jesus doesn’t just show the way — He is the way. The beautiful life Psalm 16 talks about isn’t about perfection, but walking with Him daily. Real joy and contentment come from His presence, not our circumstances.
May 10, 2025 at 1:17 PM
God’s care isn’t just for big moments — it’s constant and personal. His angels are on duty even in the everyday, when you’re stretched, unseen, or running on empty. You’re not walking through this day alone.

After Peter’s three denials, Jesus gives him three chances to affirm his love. But love isn’t just words—it comes with a call. “Feed my sheep” is Jesus' invitation to care for others as an act of devotion. Even when we’ve failed, Jesus restores and calls us to serve.
