Why are Americans not receiving SNAP benefits?

Why are airline flights being cancelled in increasing percentages?

Why is Trump doing everything he can to make the lives of Americans miserable?

Simple: HE WANTS TO ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER.

HE WANTS ABSOLUTE POWER.

HE HAS NO FUTURE.

Republicans?

Americans are reaching out to help fellow Americans in danger of going hungry because SNAP benefits are being purposely denied.

Americans are basically kind and caring people.

Why have they elected Republican representatives who are not?

Why do they have a president who delights in cruelty?

🤔

Mamdani states he isn't a fan of capitalism.

Capitalism isn't America's big problem--rather it is greed supported by election spending and disclosure laws that invite corruption and "buying" favour. Just look at the big techs who fawn over Trump. Oh, lack of character figures in the mix as well.

Canadian values

They sit next to me in the clinic waiting room. Mom to 10ish daughter, "That's a sexist comment. Nurses can be boys or girls. Jobs don't have genders."

I glance at Mom's 4 coloured hair and large floral stud in her nose. Doesn't look like me, but is like me in important ways.

🇨🇦 Canada-- a country for people.

A diverse array of people sit in the waiting room of the clinic.

The sign over the registration desk: Please have your medicare card ready. This is Canada. All citizens have a government issued card that gives them access to health care.

No premiums required.

Is Canada the only country that doesn't plant big smooches on Trump's voluminous behind?

It is absolutely unbelievable to watch the Asian leaders fawn over Trump. Humiliating.

There is a difference between showing respect for a country's leaders and pandering to a narcissistic toddler.

Why is Trump so upset with the ad featuring Ronald Regan's tariff position?

Well, to quote a famous American actor in a favourite American movie, in the same tone,

"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
October 26, 2025 at 12:39 PM
Republican promises don't carry much weight or "promise."

Hold tight to your demands for better access to health care, Democrats. You are America's only hope.
October 24, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Hey Republicans! Show up in Washington and talk. You had months to negotiate and you refused. That is why there is this mess. No more stalling.

You can do something about this. Show up and work at least one more day.
October 24, 2025 at 5:40 PM
It is difficult to reason or negotiate with those with those who lie and misrepresent.

Whenever Trump needs to justify something, he simply pulls some "fact" or "statistic" out of his voluminous behind (he has admitted this on occasion).

Republicans have followed their leader.
October 24, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Okay, CNN. We respect your reporting, but Canada's elected leader is a prime minister, not a president.

Ontario is pronounced On-tair-e-o, not tar as the second syllable.

It's true--Americans don't know a lot about their northern neighbours. But CNN--a news media--come on. (Canadian expression)

China is eating America's lunch when it comes to generating power.

China's is building 74% of new the world's new sustainable power projects.

The US? 6% Trump has now cancelled funding for several wind and solar projects already designated or under way.

A candlelit ballroom? Very 1800s.
October 24, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Trump may lose the country in the meantime. He needs the central part of the US to maintain his hold on the country.

Republicans may have difficulty getting re-elected if they continue to deny citizens affordable health care and abandon farmers.

What will be the breaking point?

Epstein files?

3. Trump has planned to end trade talks with Canada for a long time. He merely waits for some pretext to pretend he ha some justification for his actions.
4. Trump wants the Canadian economy to fail. He stated it just a few months ago.
5. Economic warfare is his plan to take over Canada.
October 24, 2025 at 12:56 PM
Trump ends trade talks due to "Canada trying to illegally influence the Supreme Court in upcoming tariff decision."

Ludicrous.

1. The US Supreme Court was bought and paid for a long time ago.
2. Canada used a part of Regan's actual speech to make their point. We don't lie as Trump always does.

As Americans view the rubble of what used to be the east wing, they need to remember that this is merely the physical manifestation of the destruction of American democracy.

Trump has taken a wrecking ball to the DOJ, the rule of law and the constitution. These were historical treasures as well.
October 24, 2025 at 12:18 AM
Americans deserve universal health care. All G7 countries (and many others) have it.

It should not be run by insurance companies for profit.

It is not communism, marxism or communism. It is a human right for every citizen of the richest country in the world.

Greed should not top human rights.
October 23, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Frank Luntz is a Republican. How dare he go on CNN and pose as non-partisan. Have your point of view, but declare who you are politically.

Typical Republican misrepresentation.
October 23, 2025 at 5:55 PM
What action can you take?

If your representative in congress is a Republican, you can express your authentic concerns and dissatisfaction. Find out your congress person's phone number and share it with ten other people. Call. Call again.

If getting re-elected is their concern, make it your concern
October 23, 2025 at 4:40 PM
The wrecking ball destroying the east wing of the White House is sad and unjustifiable.

It is the physical manifestation of what Trump and the Republican part is doing to American democracy and the rule of law in this country.

Can either be rebuilt?
October 23, 2025 at 1:36 PM
Every time the idea of universal health care is put forward, Republicans throw out the terms communism, marxism, socialism. Canadians have universal health care--we are not collectively communist, marxist or socialist.

Our education system and most health care services are funded by taxpayers.

I just watched Jane Goodall's Last Words (recorded to be played after her death) on Netflix. Very inspiring and moving.
Great message: Never give up.

She wished she could put Musk, Trump, Putin and Xi on one of Musk's rockets and send them off into space without return.

Start a petition.

The prisons and mental institutions are being are being opened and the inmates are being set loose upon the country.

Venezuela? Nope--Trump's America. Convicted Jan. 6 insurrectionists who violently assaulted police and now George Santos are back on the street.
October 19, 2025 at 12:20 PM
Universities say "NO WAY!"

Six universities say no to Trump's compact on Friday and strive to maintain academic freedom.

America needs more heroes like these.
October 19, 2025 at 10:48 AM
A proud moment for Republicans--George Santos is pardoned by Trump. 👏

Another proud moment for the party after the horrendous hate texts spewed by the "Young Republicans" ie the Young Hate Mongers.

So much for the GOPPP (grand old party of pedophile protectors) to be proud of this week.
