Wow! The press secretary just inflamed the whole situation by her very slanted speech trying to equate the murder of Alex Pretti with a Jan 6 rioter who was killed by a police officer in an act of self-defence.

Her tone is always aggressive and self-righteous. Always inflames. Frequently lies.

Placing these particular ICE thugs in Minnesota at this time was like throwing a match into a pile of straw. The goal was to escalate violence, not lower tension.

Throw in misstatements like "brandishing a weapon", "armed assassin", "seeking maximum damage,".

The administration wants violence.
January 26, 2026 at 4:20 AM
The saddest thing about the murder of Alex Pretti is that the event unfolded as planned. It didn't matter that it was this specific young man, but he was ideal--someone whose innocent death would be so abhorrent that it would incite a riot.

Riot=insurrection act=no election=goal achieved.

Instead of "lunatics in the street" it is evident that the lunatics are in the White House and the pentagon. Also, Bovino and Noem are vicious liars.

The man who Bovino claimed "sought to do maximum damage" to ICE officers merely tried to help a woman who had been pushed down.

What do the American people want? I think most Canadians and Americans were pretty happy neighbours until Trump and his sad excuse for a cabinet came along.

Maybe it is time for the people to decide.

Chinese cars? All bad? Is it possible China will build eventually build them here?

A 100% tariff on everything entering the US from Canada? Wow! That will surely increase electricity bills for Americans.

So sorry we have to live through all this, Canadians and Americans alike.

Wow! The Jack Smith appearance before the House Committee is ridiculous.

Talk about a witch hunt! The chief warlock is definitely sending out his sycophants on a flock of brooms.

Really lost respect for the Republicans today.

Could someone please let this guy know that this is not a free therapy session where you just get everything off your chest without being hampered by truth or accountability?

Thankfully someone convinced him that he shouldn't take Greenland (or Iceland) by force.

Will he remember tomorrow?
January 21, 2026 at 2:53 PM
OMG! doesn't Trump know that other countries get the news.

He is rambling on at Davos telling lie after lie. Recognized two "truths" so far. Lies go on and on.
January 21, 2026 at 2:11 PM
Listening to Mike Johnson speak to the British Parliament, one would almost believe he was part of a gov't that sought to uphold the US constitution.

But the words do not match the actions of Republicans over the past year. Justice has become injustice, freedom has become fear and democracy denied.

Scott Bessent argues that the current national emergency that justifies the imposition of tariffs is avoiding a national emergency.

What is the imminent threat? No Chinese boats near Greenland for years!

What emergency?

There is a national emergency! There is a mad man in the White House!

The criteria for the Nobel Peace Prize as set by Alfred Nobel are for the person or organization who has done the

"most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition and reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses,"

Not even close, DJT!

Number the Stars, a historical fiction novel set in Denmark during the Nazi occupation during WWII, portrays the courage of the Danish.

Even more amazing is the factual information in the Afterword. The bravery, self-sacrifice and ingenuity of the Danish is unparalleled. A lesson for all nations.
January 19, 2026 at 12:12 PM
Denmark has an enviable record of doing what is right. A small nation with a population of just over 5 million, they do not hesitate.

Lost more soldiers' lives per capita than any other nation in Afghanistan.

WWII--saved over 7000 Jews.

America could learn a lot from the Danish about bravery.
January 19, 2026 at 12:00 PM
From a letter that Kim Malthe Brunn, Danish Resistance, wrote to his mother the night before his execution:

... you must not dream yourselves back to the time before the war...the dream for you all...must be to create an ideal of human decency, and not a narrow-minded prejudiced one.

So brave.
January 14, 2026 at 8:29 PM
The Danes and the Danish Resistance, made up of the very young and the very brave, were able to safely smuggle 7000 Jews out of the country during the Nazi occupation.

One young man wrote to his mother the night before his execution of his wish for a better world. He and Denmark deserve it.

Nazi Barbie is spewing mistruths about the shooting that took the life of a 37 year old mother.

Watching the video of the shooting confirms the falsehood and absolutely disgusting rendition by Vance.

This administration has absolutely no credibility. There is no trust in their words or actions.
January 9, 2026 at 1:12 PM
The last time Denmark surrendered to invasion was April 9. 1940. The Nazi occupation lasted until the end of WWII.

Are the New Nazis of the western hemisphere preparing to invade Greenland? This is not about the national security of the US. This is not about investing in natural resources.

Why?
January 9, 2026 at 12:40 PM
Given the current threats by the Trump administration, no one from any NATO country should be ravelling to the US. Canadian cross border travel has declined by 30% over the last year. Needs to become 85%. Other NATO countries should do the same--no tourism to US and limited work trips for now.
January 7, 2026 at 12:21 PM
Trump just went on with one of his rambles that started with something about the invasion in Venezuela.

Trump concluded that now the world will respect the US "like never before." Does he understand that there is a difference between respect and a healthy fear of terrorists?

Maduro is being indicted for drug trafficking.

Trump pardoned ex-Honduran president Hernandez who was serving a 45 year sentence for trafficking 360 tonnes of cocaine into the US.

How can Trump and co even have the face to pretend that this is about protecting citizens from illicit drugs?

😖
January 3, 2026 at 12:50 PM
America? Respect?

Trump claims that the world respects the US. It is not among the top 20 most respected countries worldwide. It is currently around 48th and in "most decline."

Canada is #1 in this category for 2025. Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Australia also hold this spot at different times.
December 21, 2025 at 1:20 PM
C. Gimenez, R senator, member of the armed services committee, stated in an interview with Wolf Blitzer that removing the Venezuelan president, Maduro, would be justified as he had lost the last election but refused to leave power.

Sound familiar?

Isn't that what Trump attempted in Jan 6th?
