Dr. Touma's study revealed that although the membranous lupus nephritis disease burden is ⬇️ than proliferative lupus nephritis it is not a benign disease and may be associated with deterioration of renal function, end-stage kidney disease and cardiovascular events.

Analysis of diagnostic delay in axSpa patients across geographic regions varies considerably, according to a new study by Dr. Poddubnyy and team. The mean diagnostic delay was 7.4 years.

Dr. Pagnoux and team released a study on oral health in patients with vasculitis. Frequent oral and dental complications led to significantly impaired oral HRQOL, especially in Takayasu arteritis and Behçet Disease.

A new study by Dr. @lihieder.bsky.social and team found that elevated levels of hsCRP, a biomarker of systemic inflammation, are associated with future risk of PsA development in patients with psoriasis, independent of other known PsA risk factors.

Dr. Chandran and team’s study identified the most common skin pain qualities as aching, tender, dull and itchy and were correlated with functional outcomes and disease activity in PsA patients.

Read the paper by Dr. Inman and team where ⬆️ IL-17A–producing cells in secukinumab non-responder AxSpA patients point to a higher inflammatory burden compared to responders. There is ⬆️ immune complexity in AxSpA, emphasizing the need for precision therapeutics.

A new paper by Dr. V. Chandran and team compares early vs. late transition from psoriasis to psoriatic arthritis in terms of PsA phenotype and outcomes. A trend for higher cumulative disease activity was noted with early transition. #rheumatology
