Before panic sets it. The New NIH Director and Congress will want research to continue, so the machine will start up at some point. Keep writing papers and preparing proposals. AND educate the public about the key role peer review plays in science and the time and infrastructure investment needed

Et veldig godt eksempel på en helt enkel innsikt som jeg skulle ønske blei sagt på introkurs til medisinsk statistikk, istedenfor f.eks. at man må bruke kjikvadrat på kategoriske data og t-test på kontinuerlige data.
I personally do not believe in a "spectrum" of effects. Many studies that do not use causal inference techniques but are vague in their ambitions and choose to adjust for "known confounders" are not on the spectrum between unadjusted and true causal effect. They may be further away the causal effect

It truly boggles my mind that "tropical medicine" conferences continue to be hosted, year after year, in visa-hostile, high income countries
