Check out this study into Finnish finance sector's efforts on #quantum.

Quite sad that only 10% have so far done tests with the technology. (Probably most readers could even name them.) We think it should be around 100% at this point.

#Finland to lead a #defence focused EU program on quantum technology dubbed #QUEST.

Absolutely great and even better if the focus remains very much on quantum sensing as it is highly relevant for that industry.

How do you feel about the UK proposed timeline for PQC adoption?

Our business interest is certainly that things would happen faster, but at least the initial assessment and plan should not wait for 3 years from now.

Recording attacks happen today - you need to know now if you care.

Lack of abstractions is the main deficiency in the quantum computation stack. While breakthroughs in building these abstractions may not seems as ground shattering as qubit improvements, we believe these are critical to progress to realizing value. Networking operating system presents such a step.
An operating system for executing applications on quantum network nodes - Nature
A new quantum operating system architecture is described that is capable of executing applications on quantum networks in high-level software, which is a step towards bringing quantum network technolo...

Quantum end user day on Thursday.

Should probably prepare a pitch.

So what would you say?

The audience knew.

The main thing is #optimization.

Thanks a lot #VTT, #Aalto and #HelsinkiUni for making this event a reality!

Did you know the graphical style in IQM materials? It is both surprising, cool, and warm.

(The presentation is also good.)

Quanscient is right in noting how the right approach to applying quantum in an existing problem might not be to just run the existing calculation on a quantum computer. It rarely is.

(Quanscient is one of the companies we've helped along the way.)

Algorithmiq's story highlights how immature the abstraction layers in quantum computing are. In essence, even a vertically focused startup is "forced" to provide a "full stack" solution to quantum software handling all kinds of infrastructure topics.

Here we go!

Our assumption is that sw will end up being more important than hw in terms of economy. Both are of course needed for anything to work.

This year has again been very much just probono work on research projects. There's, for example, one introductory book coming out in a few weeks that we helped to create.

Let's try to get a bit more active on this platform to keep everyone posted on our developments.

A "mechanical qubit" that requires superconductors to be used, is like a horse drawn carriage that requires a jet engine.

Impressive feat nevertheless with scant practical usages foreseeable at this stage.
