I can’t help smiling about Mr Farage’s misfortune this evening. Now that Mr Musk has withdrawn his support perhaps the BBC and others will give him a little less airtime.

Do the government really think that today’s announcement on a social care review will fool anyone? Starmer needs to emulate Lloyd George who was the last man to make the Treasury do what he wanted. Get them to cough up.

Milliband says he will launch a call next year for evidence on solar panels on car park roofs. What’s he waiting for? Our local French supermarket has had them for five years.
