Coffe and books 📚💙 #booksky
Listening to Jay Kristoff's Darkdawn while sipping an Americano is a great start to the long Christmas reading weekend.

April Alexandersdottir - Ruby baby ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dette var emosjonelt, dramatisk som kun en nittenåring kanskje være og utrolig pent skrevet. Håper å se mer av forfatteren

Jay Kristoff - Nevernight ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Engaging story with lots of eloquent (maybe a bit too much?) writing and a page-turning end.

DL Jennings - The gift of the Shaper ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is an entertaining, easy reading fantasy story with a great world building.
The story circles around Thornton, the son of the blacksmith Olson who turns out to be more than you think in the beginning.

Caroline Peckham, Susanne Valenti - The awakening ⭐
This wasn't for me. I get the HP-ish vibe of the backdrop but the story's "cheesy" highschool feeling was a bit too overdramatic for my taste.
Even when ignoring the non-consentual "spicy" scenes,

Brom - Slewfoot ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That was so good!
A story of historical fiction set in a Puritan village of Conneticut, you know you will get religious fanaticism, misogyny and straight up toxic group dynamics - and boy oh boy do you get it all.

Nuruddin Farah - Nord for daggry ⭐⭐⭐
En gripende og vanskelig historie om innvandringsproblematikk, radikalisering og fremmedfrykt.
skrivestil til forfatteren er rimelig spesielt og gjorde det hele litt vanskelig for meg å få helt fatt i hovedpersonene

Rachel Gillig - One dark window ⭐⭐⭐
cute romantasy with a gothic feel to it.
I liked the magic system, and the "side" character was, in my opinion, the best in the book - more Nightmare please!

Dietrich Stogner - Ranger ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stogner did it again - a brilliant book, a character gallery that has you cheering, crying, laughing and a storyline that keeps throwing curveballs.

Manacled - Sen Lin Yu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I don't really know how to comment this.
First of all, lots of trigger warnings in pretty much every category should you consider reading this. It is very dark, violent, cruel and sad.

The Dreamland murders - Andrew Pyper
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great story that keeps you on edge a lot.
The second installation of the Oracle trilogy about a medium/psychic solving murder cases.
As a full cast production this is pretty much a movie in your ears
