We were delighted to welcome new undergraduate students at the UCL SSEES social event, where we talked about the library collections 📚and skills training. 1st-year students, join us for the next social on 26 Nov, 3pm in the Masaryk Common Room to explore databases 🔍 for journals, newspapers & more!

Printed between 1850 and 1918, these slim ABC books taught the first letters in Czech, Slovene, Polish, Ruthenian, Croatian and other vernacular languages of the monarchy. Another is a primer on arithmetic in the Hungarian language, and the third is a primer on the alphabet.
