Zhang et al. uncover a pathological NTRK2 isoform switch in gCaps that impairs vascular regeneration in bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Restoring full-length NTRK2 reverses vascular and alveolar defects in hyperoxic lung injury. These findings highlight isoform-specific NTRK2 targeting as a promising regenerative strategy.
