🔬Microscopy underpins much of modern science, but globally, access to advanced imaging is expensive and technically complex.

Research led by Dr Mark Pickering has expanded access to advanced imaging through the development of low-cost, open-source microscopes.

A new multinational study, just published in Lancet Digital Health, shows that AI-driven decision support could enable earlier and more precise identification of patients in need of blood transfusion - and reduce deaths from haemorrhage.
