Grrr. It’s frustrating I can’t get interviews for a position in which I’m certified and have great TKES and references, plus I’m a 15 year veteran teacher. With social studies I feel they just look at the fact I taught theater the whole time and just write me off. I know the standards. Grrrr.

Feels odd to have 100% on silksong when I still haven’t beaten last boss of act 3 yet. It felt really good to get through Coral Tower in one go my first try without dying though. All those arenas before the boss were ugh.

Nothing much exciting to report. Had another interview but doesn’t seem like I got it. Hoping for more opportunities. Subbing has been not fun. On the positive side it’s shown me that it wasn’t just a me problem in the classroom with kids being placed in theater. They’re like that in any class

Tech pals. Considering getting back into IT if education no longer works. I did Tier 1 & 2 tech support for Dell, Data Center Tech and Jr Sys Admin work back in the day though it’s been almost 24 years now. Recommendations? I plan to study back up and get my certs. Help desk is fine to begin.

Didn’t get any of the recent round of job interviews. At least I got an email though. Sometimes I think that’s a worse. When you don’t hear back then hey there’s a sliver of hope as opposed to the email saying you weren’t selected.

Two interviews done. First one felt good. 2nd one I didn’t quite get the vibe. And now another mines up for tomorrow at another place. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Two job interviews Monday. One at 8 and one at 1:30. One is MS and the other is HS. Both social studies. Hoping for some more calls now that we’re at the end of the school year and I still have a bunch of open applications in for area schools in theater and social studies.

It’s annoying when you’re waiting on references from folks at the old job when you can’t submit your application for a new one until they’ve been turned in. Ugh.

Got the last things out of my old classroom today. So this chapter is now behind me. Now to focus on getting a new position and finding something in the interim, or move into something career adjacent.
