Demolition underway on the Brooklyn Uprising atrium. So fun to see beautiful brick and BIG archways behind the boring drywall 🤩🤩

Using v0 to create/deploy a custom landing page and then applying that design to re-theme my entire Rails app in ~90 minutes. This is a game-changer. Not sure I've ever been this excited to build new tech products. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SiY...

So, despite not having coded in almost 10 years, I was able to ship a pretty solid v1 of an app idea on Rails in about a day and half primarily using Cursor to write the code. This. Is. Nuts.

What do you y'all use for naming a new business/app? Kinda surprised there's not better tools for generating names with AI -> checking availability of domains/socials -> loop

Starting a thread for updates as I re-learn to code (after nearly 10 years) using the latest AI tools. This thread and the recordings are going to be the real-time messy journey with dead-ends and dumb mistakes along the way 👇

Ok, been recording away but here's the rough roadmap:
1/ Get back up to speed on current tools
2/ Get to "hello world" on both (a) Rails (b) NextJS
3/ Build my test project (already picked a good one 🤩) on both using as much AI (Claude + GPT) as possible
A lifetime ago I taught myself Rails and built a SaaS, but it's been 7+ years since I wrote a line of code. I want to re-learn from scratch in this new AI-enabled context. Would you be interested to follow the journey?

Ep 1: terminal - Descript
Okay, so like I mentioned I am going to try to get back into writing code and deploying software web applications specifically in this new sort of AI enabled era. So for folks who don't know, I taugh

Is Bluesky just OG/good Twitter or are we doing anything different/new here?

When you try to do hard things with earnest intentions, people fundamentally will want you to succeed.

Alright I’m leaning into Bluesky. Anybody got any good lists of interesting folks to follow?
