Key word is “legitimate.” The Constitution limits the power of government, including the President’s, to protect the people. Public schools don’t need a billionaire telling us what’s best for our students. Kentuckians already rejected that. Anyone truly concerned about local control would support fully funding the programs that empower local districts to support kids, close opportunity gaps, and strengthen communities.
