Sometimes when someone shares trauma I have no idea to respond. I want to say something akin to “I’m sorry, that really sucks” but that feels sorta shallow and that I have nothing of value to contribute. I just want to let them know I read their story and I felt their pain. But is that a vanity?

I have yet to “recover” my original follower count and average like-per-art-post, but I am patient and ok because the overall post engagement feels the same yet better.
No lie I feel like a ton of people come in with this mentality.

I am much less bothered by NSFW fanart than art done that degrades or domineers my intent as an artist of said characters.
That could be a bit difficult to explain but I feel that if you know me well enough to want to make fanart for me you already understand at some intrinsic level.
