Well, that’s the republicans. People shouldn’t reach conclusions based on one belief overlap. I believe in many things that could paint me as an ally of either side. Don’t assume facts not in evidence. Also,FYI, Michigan is one of the most politically corrupt states…on both sides of the mainstream.

I believe it was Barack Obama who said, “Elections have consequences.” Just as he wrote policy as President, the Republicans write it while in control of Georgia. To both sides I would say, “If you don’t like the results, win some elections.”

Alternatively, rather than a drop box, I’d be willing to compromise by having a drop slot installed inside a government building, where goons intent on disruption would be less bold in their attempts. Thoughts?

Marc, I respect that you took the opportunity to respond with sensible arguments (unlike maraleia) and lay out your opinion. I’m in Michigan, and we don’t have two pages of issues. I understand your take, but an absentee ballot achieves the same outcome without exposure in public.

Reason number 387 why ballot dropboxes are a terrible idea. Voting is a privilege and a responsibility, and sometimes requires effort. Take the time and do it in person on Election Day.
