The first Texas tortoise forfeiture event was held last Saturday at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo College. While it was an OVERWHELMING SUCCESS, it was alarming too. We ended up with over 180 surrendered Texas tortoises after only 2.5 hours! We had to end the event.

The first Texas tortoise forfeiture event was held last Saturday at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo College. While it was an OVERWHELMING SUCCESS, it was alarming too. We ended up with over 180 surrendered Texas tortoises after only 2.5 hours! We had to end the event.
