Tony Blalock - DeSoto's team speed is the fastest in the state. CE King is probably second. DeSoto jumped out in front early and King simply couldn't dig their way out of the hole. Dave Burnworth - Speed kills DESOTO speed kills fast. Antony Blalock - Desoto was in control start to finish as CE King could never get over their tough start and Desotos many weapons.

North Shore/ Duncanville Six came down to the end. That isn't surprising at all. What is surprising is that the game was scoreless at the half. North Shore found a way to get one more positive play than Duncanville and walked out of AT&T Stadium in Arlington Saturday with a 10-7 win and the 6AD1 Championship. South Oak Cliff beat Randle35 to 19 Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to claim their third state title in the last five years. South Oak Cliff has now played in five consecutive championship games. The Defensive MVP was Jamarion Phillips. The Offensive MVP was Mikail Trotter.

The defensive theme of 2025 Championships continued as Smithson Valley held Frisco Lone Star out of the end zone until less than a minute remained in the game end route to a 28-6 win for the 5AD1 Championship Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Tony Blalock - Smithson Valley stumbled on offense in the first half but their defense simply shut down Lone Star. You saw what this game means to the players as Smithson Valley's Haug and Lone Star's Wright played through ankle injuries. Smithson Valley goes back-to-back for Hill's first two tiles. Dave Burnworth - Smithson Valley used an aggressive sure tackling defense with a dominating performance by the Big Dawgs up front in the win. Antony Blalock - Smithson Valley goes back to back as defenses continue to rule the weekend. SV holds an explosive Lone Star defense scoreless.

Carthage dominated from the start jumping out to 49-0 lead before West Orange-Stark scored 21 points in the final 4 minutes of the game to make score respectable. Scott Surratt secures his 11th state title as head coach of the Bulldogs with a 49-21 win Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The Defensive MVP was Tylin Williams. The Offensive MVP was KJ Edwards.

Tony Blalock- Scott Surratt has run out of fingers for this championship rings. A simply dominating performance by Carthage. The final score of 49-21 doesn't reflect the true dominance Carthage showed in this game. Dave Burnworth - Carthage dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage to get the lopsided win. Antony Blalock - I am known for being the dude that hates teams that win too much. Not with Carthage. its incredible what Scott Surratt has built over the last 15 years. Death, Taxes, and Surratt in state title games.

It was a virtuoso defensive performance by both teams as the top defenses in 4AD1 proved that defense does indeed win championship. In the lowest scoring championship game since Groesbeck beat Burnet 7-0 in 1991, Stephenville bested Kilgore 10-0 to win their 7th state title. Hudson Butchee was named the Defensive MVP. Trot Jordan was named the Offensive MVP.

Tony Blalock - Stephenville's defense was simply dominant in this one. The lowest scoring championship game since 1991 when Groesbeck beat Burnet 7-0. Hard to single out any one defensive player on Stephenville. They all played lights out. Hudson Butchee gets the MVP plaque but it really should go to the entire defense. Dave Burnworth - Stephenville used a strong defense led by beast like Caleb Taylor 9 tackles and Hudson Butchee 10 tackles to shutout Kilgore,10-0.

3AD1 has the chaos division all year long and especially in the playoffs. Yaokum put an end to the chaos with a 45-29 victory over Grandview Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Yoakum was led by X'Zavier Barnett who tied the 3A championship game record with 5 rushing TDs. Grandview's Brady Slinkard caught 3 TD passes all tie a 3A championship game record.

Tony Blalock - In the division that was chaos all year long, Grandview simply had no answer for Yoakum's two-headed wildcat attack lead by X'Zavier Barnett (193 yards rushing) and Jace Morales (197 yards rushing). Yoakum waited until they had played Columbus in the regular season to switch to this wildcat attack. And it paid off as the Robinson family finally gets their first HFC championship.

The Muenster Hornets win their second consecutive 2AD2 championship using a smothering defense to shut out Shiner 28-0 Thursday from AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The Hornets held Shiner to 164 yards of offense. The Offensive MVP was Casen Carney. 9 of 10 passing, 162 yards, 3 TDs; 16 carries, 79 yards, 1 YD rushing. The Defensive MVP was Rhett Walterscheid. 8 tackles, 6 solo.

Tony Blalock - Muenster hangs 28 on a Shiner team that didn't give more than 21 points in a game prior to this. The Comanches limited Mount Enterprise to 8 points last week and Junction to 6 the week prior. But it was Muenster's smothering defense that set the tone in the game shutting out Shiner for the first time since the second game of 2024 against 3A Rice Consolidated.

The Hamilton Bulldogs first played football in 1914. On Wednesday night the Bulldogs made their first championship appearance and won their first title with a 21-7 win over Joaquin. Joaquin scored first on the opening drive of the game to take a 7-0 lead. Hamilton posted 21 unanswered points the rest of the game for the win. Halston Haile was named the Offensive MVP.

Tony Blalock - Playoff Hamilton? Hamilton won this game with their defense. Every time Joaquin looked they were going to break a play, a Hamilton defender would catch the play from behind. The entire defense deserves the MVP. Dave Burnworth - Hamilton was nasty on defense with senior Bret Bauman and Freshman Easton Marwitz leading the way. Both had double digit tackles.

It was Bode Ham early and often as the Jayton Jaybird beat Richland Springs 99-54 to go back-to-back as 1AD2 champions. The game end via the 45-point mercy rule with 57 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Bode Ham was named both the Offensive MVP and the Defensive MVP of the game.
