Nice to see a Corn Bunting in my garden today. The first time since the Winter of 1982/83 when I had 100+ regularly sitting in the trees here. The farmer had planted the field in front of the house with neeps and they were feeding in there. The same has happened this year. #birdingscotland

Just back from Thailand with the aim of seeing Spoon-billed Sandpiper, one of the rarest birds in the world. It was well worth it 😊.

A trip out to the Eastern end of the Moray Firth with Guide Charters out of Macduff gave us a close encounter with a Sooty Shearwater which stayed with the boat for over 15 minutes. Another highlight was a Pomarine Skua that did a fly-by. #birdingscotland
