You’re contradicting yourself! if he left his spine with Marco Rubio, that would mean that Marco Rubio actually had a spine now, and I don’t think that is possible, nor that he would know what to do with it

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.
The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

I did not see any litmus tests in 2024. All I saw was a party pushing a geriatric candidate and in the ensuing revolt, replacing him by an establishment candidate, whilst suppressing newer fresh voices. And it’s not changing now either. The hand ringing is about messaging instead.

I’m not sure we have been trying that for decades. I don’t remember who, but someone famously said:
“I am against organized, political parties, that’s why I’m a democrat.” Maybe the real issue is the Democratic Party is run by old dinosaurs and party hacks, and until that changes, nothing will.
