These paintings by Jennifer Wolf are currently on view at William Turner Gallery. Created with natural dyes on silk mounted on wood, the featured works are from her latest series “Utopalypse”, which merges aspiration for beauty, harmony, and renewal with an awareness of fragility & transformation.
A canvas showing an abstract work of art made with deep purples, rich magentas, and pale greens. The work is non-representational, meaning it doesn't represent something other than what it is. An abstract work of art made with organic-seeming colors: sage greens, tans, muddy browns, fierce magentas, and a sliver of vibrant orange. The colors blend harmoniously. An abstract, non representational work of art... the lower half of the painting is made with muddier, less saturated colors, mysterious browns and lustrous blues that are so dark they are almost black. The top half of the canvas (and especially the top right half) blooms into bright, beautiful colors: orange and pink and deep purple. An abstract artwork with four main colors: orange, purple, white, and brown.
