Today I had the rare opportunity to interview Bae Franklin, a Veteran currently on the flotilla as it nears Gaza. Corporate media has barely covered these courageous voices. It is critical you hear directly from these heroes risking their lives to end the genocide

Lonnie G. Bunch III is the head of the Smithsonian. The first Black person to helm the institution and the founding director of the Blacksonian.

And his legacy will be completely overshadowed by his compliance with this authoritarian bullshit which should go against his ethical code as a curator.
Save hard copies of books. What LLMs don't erase from the internet, fascists will erase from public life. Nothing digital or temporary (like a museum exhibit) is safe. Keep hard copies of history. Slavery. The Holocaust. Civil rights. Everything.

A temporary placard, on display since 2021, described the president's historic impeachments. Officials said the exhibit was restored to an earlier version following a review of legacy content.

Getting stoned in New York has been fun. It wasn't like that for me here before it was decriminalized.
It makes the sound of all the people more pleasant.

A second time a man on his last legs tried to get my attention on their way out in a way that was never going to work.
They become ghosts and their communication is better. At least it was the first time, now I'm not sure and I thought I didn't feel bad about it.
But, I do.

The crowd was so large that the front group crossed the Hawthorne Bridge, looped up Southeast Grand Avenue, and returned over the Morrison Bridge — while those in the rear had yet to reach the Hawthorne Bridge.

Wow. Turns out that the Minnesota shooter Vance Boelter was an evangelical Christian who, per his website, "sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer."

Does this now make him a “militant Christianist?”

Talked to so many people who were at the first protests of their lives today. Ex-Republicans, introverts, 90-year-olds and 3-year-olds. This was at an intersection in a 60,000 person town. Haven’t felt hope like this in my life.
