Mister Miracle was always my favorite guy. The message is important to me. Freedom is always within our grasp. King and Gerard's take is pure nihilism, it tells us the only "escape" from crisis in our lives is into prefab suburban homes, something only a death-worshipping fed could find hopeful.

Once again I find myself thinking about how a single segment from one episode of pervert comedy anime Panty and Stocking was a better tribute to Jack Kirby's art than any of the ugly WB and Disney crap that's made millions off stealing his work

I've just started watching Kurenai Sanshiro, and I'm already a big fan of how spectacularly it blends traditional animation, gekimation, and live-action techniques to create one of the most unique looking anime I've seen. I especially appreciate how good it is at depicting three-dimensional depth.
