My favorite is also my most hated: initial sketching. Hated because I’m terrible at it. It takes me FOREVER to get the anatomy and pose right; hours of erasing, redrawing, lassoing, transforming, warping. But slowly, the image I have in my mind emerges. It’s as rewarding as it is frustrating.

Hands down, my favorite part of each piece is the final step, where I just fiddle with lighting and color grading and FX and blending. I love to take all my rough work and bury it under a mountain of blend layers until it looks right

Culmination of three months of 30 minute warm up sketches has become Swords and Sorcery heroes
I put 12 cats and 12 D&D classes into a hat and drew out this all cat adventurer guild.
Maybe I'll do something with them some day? Anyway, good job on your first successful mission, helping me warm up 💪
