So, we know The Darkness and The Light are the creators of the universe who gave light and life to everything we know. We also know a ton of origin stories originated from them (magic, wishes, soulmates, heart mates, gods…well, there’s two tiny scenes in awats where Nolance consumes a drop of Serena’s light and blood and she’s just like “weird he’s done that twice now.” And way back when magic still existed on planet, mates would bind their fate with a ceremony that included drinking from one another.
