So Pugglez has started sitting like this. This is the third time I've caught him.

I like to play Iris by The Goo Goo dolls while I do mundane tasks so my life feels like the second act of an indie film.

I'm going to add "I dabble in modeling" to my Tinder bio.

"What type of modeling do you do?"

"Oh you know, SEM and path analysis."

"For what magazine?"

"Oh just Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology."

Jk I lied. Should be caught up now
Lots of new followers here. Thank you! I will go through and follow back after the semester slows down.

Researchers often put the cart before the horse because it's easier to get funding to build a new cart than it is to purchase the horse.

Freud would say my generation's attachment issues arise from parenting. Beck would say they arise from distorted thoughts. In reality, they all stem from the death scene in Bridge to Terabithia.

Pugglez is currently taking a meta-analysis workshop with me. He believes his toy bear is important to learning weighted effect sizes.

I still believe that high school needs a Statistical Competency course. Even outside my graduate studies, statistical reports are common (e.g., news reports) and encountered far more often that the quadratic formula.
(The course would be more conceptual than arithmetic heavy)

Had our last class of Theories Tuesday. I still love ACT, Existential, and Dynamic, and also Process Based Therapy may be my ultimate pick. I started "Learning [PBT]" last night and look forward to diving deeper into it.
ACT and Existential theory have been my favorites so far.
Words make monsters real and the idea of death will save me.

This book just arrived in the mail. I'm excited to jump into it!

We started repeated measures ANOVAs in my stats class so here's another stats pickup line:

Let's do a repeated anova and remove the variance between us.

What I love above validity tests is that they're the first step toward using meta tactics to improve assessment. By observing how people take assessments and other covariates, we can improve accuracy and, by extension, diagnoses and operationalization in research

Mentally, I am Snoopy sleeping on his doghouse.

Idea: book of statistics flirts (I violate the assumption of normality).

"Are we past F critical? Because I'm seeing a significant interaction."

"You must violate the homogeneity of variance because you're like no other."

Small talk is underrated. Getting glimpses into a random person's world reminds me why empathy and kindness is so important. You can learn something from everyone.
