I’ve come to the conclusion that journalists are largely Patrick Bateman-esque psychopaths. They have no core, beyond the facade of whatever it is that keeps them employed. They simply do not exist as meaningful entities in their own right. They are all door, no exit.

To my mind, anyone associated with that group should be removed from any and all forms of political engagement, as its sole purpose is to replace democracy with party power structures.
