The REAL victims are the unpaid federal workers & their families, as well as those who rely on the SNAP to put food in their pantries. Legislators must be held accountable, especially when their federal checks continue while 730K others (per Bipartisan Policy center) have stopped.

As Liz Kreutz explained, protests are largely peaceful, and much of LA is not obviously impacted. Similar events happened in Seattle following George Floyd's murder. Protests were in a small area, but DT couldn't stop himself from unnecessarily threatening to intervene. He made things worse.

The current HHS Secretary threatens to spurn traditional medical journals like JAMA, NJCM, and The Lancet for being "corrupt," but also doesn't understand that the NIH and pharmaceutical companies work together to make drugs available to the public. Meanwhile, defunding at the NIH continues.
