For commissions, you iterate on a concept over and over until it fits specifications or inspires. Only then do you refine it. And often, it's not the first thing you drew that ends up in the final render.

Everytime I make an outline for a story, I fall out of love with the story. It loses its mystery, its intrigue. -- Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do?
