One password is believed to have been all it took for a ransomware gang to destroy a 158-year-old company and put 700 people out of work.

KNP is just one of tens of thousands of UK businesses that have been hit by such attacks.

Now I've got a bit of spare time, I can start on this #jigsaw #puzzle that I've had knocking around for a while. It's only 500 pieces but there's quite a lot of black! #nasa #star #constellation #moonscape

Today, I'm preparing for my #PhD mock #viva. I need to put together a 10-15 minute presentation about my research, why I undertook it, what I accomplished, & what results I obtained.

My supervisors have given me a list of questions I may be asked, so I'm writing a structure for my responses.

Just finished my latest #kit project. A desktop #planetarium from Astro media. Got to say some bad misprints in the instructions and some instructions that were really not very clear, a diagram or two wouldn't have gone amiss. All in all about 12 hours work and an unbelievable amount of glue!

I spent 4 hours yesterday afternoon making this #model of the #discoveryspaceshuttle. It's the smallest, most fiddly model I've ever made. The tags connecting the pieces together are tiny and need very careful fitting.

The deed is done. Today, I submitted my #PhD #thesis. Now I have to wait

Today I am starting the proofreading of my #PhD #thesis. All 50,000 words of it. I may be some time 😀

Some good news for my #PhD research. One of my supervisors has said that 80,000 words is the absolute max. My current word count of 46,000 is "getting to the right ballpark."

This week, I'm refreshing my systematic literature review with new research done in the last 3 years.
