The latest episode of The Last of Us was phrnomenal.
I’d played the game, so I knew what was coming - but my goodness the execution of that story was just gut-wrenching and incredibly well done.

The SYFY original series SurrealEstate is back in a few weeks - and we have a first look at the new season. Probably one of the coolest little horror shows you’re not watching.
So Blue Beetle is pretty great. Best DC movie in a while. Borrows the best bits from Iron Man, Venom and Spider-Man as far as superhero tropes - but all with its own spin on the material. Great cast. A grounded story of family that actually feels real. Hope it gets a sequel!

So The Last Voyage Of The Demeter is really good. Great cast, tense story and some killer practical effects. Basically a ship-set period piece mashed up with a vampire thriller. Really cool project.

My Secret Invasion hot take: It felt like the Nick Fury tie-in supplemental spin-off story to a bigger Secret Invasion story we didn’t get to see. Too small. Too slow. Not a bad spy story on its own taken at face value - but it wasn’t Secret Invasion.

The new Mission Impossible movie is pretty great. Hayley Atwell steals it. Amazing addition. Introduced my 12YO to the franchise with Dead Reckoning and he loved it. Now we gotta go back and rewatch the OG ones!
