The last of our school tree signs are going up this week! We put one on each school tree we plant to let teachers and students know its name and how high it could grow. We also leave each school with a selection of tree-related books for their library.

Calling all tree planters!

Several orgs are joining together to plant 60 trees and shrubs at Isaac Brock School starting at 10 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, rain or shine.

No experience necessary. Lunch will be served. Bring gloves!

It was a beautiful, sunny day for our final school tree planting of the year. Five new trees for King Edward School on Selkirk Avenue.

Thanks to the North End Community Renewal Corporation's NERI Small Grant Fund for its assistance to allow us to plant this many trees!

Saturday's tree planting at Isaac Brock School had to be postponed, but some of us got together to mulch the learning garden that students planted earlier in the week.

The tree planting will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18th at 10 am, rain or shine!

Thanks to everyone who bought a tree at our Fall ReLeaf sale. We were so busy, we forgot to take pictures!

The total number of ReLeaf trees distributed in 2025 was 803. Since the program's inception in 2016, the number is 8,693.

ReLeaf will be back in Spring 2026!

The rain held off and we had a great tree walk through beautiful West Broadway on Thursday!

Earlier is this year, we did a riverbank tree planting behind the First Universalist Unitarian Church on Wellington Crescent. We're glad to hear that the trees are doing well!

We're pleased to repeat our Tree Walk of the West Broadway neighbourhood on Thu, Sep 11 at 6:30 pm in partnership with Lights Unlimited & West Broadway Community Organisation. This free 1.5 hour walk starts outside the Broadway Neighbourhood Centre and ends at Great West Life.

We took an arborist to visit ten of our school sites. Many of the trees that were struggling earlier this summer are much better thanks to doubling up our waterings and a week of cooler temps with a bit of rain. We removed two damaged by vandalism but none due to the drought!
