Forests are more than just wood and are important for the water balance. The groundwater beneath a forest is clean, oxygen-rich and excellent for producing drinking water. That is why forests are particularly often also water protection areas. 💚☘️🌿🌱🌳🌲🍀💚

Pro tip. Most times the oldest trees in a city are in cemeteries because those were the 1st places to be preserved. #trees

Good example of how Bristol, VT is planting new trees where ash trees will be removed because of EAB. We don’t want to preemptively remove them and we don’t want to wait to plant. #trees
