Updated my store for the last time this year! Didn't get to make as much new stuff as I'd hoped my brains been a little scrambled as I'm preparing to move out for the first time. A reinterpretation of the classical painting "The Rising of the Sun" by François Boucher, but all the characters are trans-masc. There's post op characters showing scars, others are binding, others are freely celebrating their bodies. The painting shows different body types, skin colours, ethnicities and all figures are happily celebrating gender euphoria. Reinterpretation of Caravaggio's Bacchus, but with Bacchus being a black, deaf trans man. We can see his top surgery scar and hearing aid device over his right ear. Bacchus is holding a ribbon in the colours of the trans flag in his right hand, and a bottle of testosterone for injections in his left hand. A trans brown woman is sitting naked on the edge of a pond. She is naked and each of her arms holds a jug of crystalline water. She's pouring the content of one jug in the pond, the other on the shore. The water doesn't splash, but creates beautiful crystalline stars instead. More similar, but smaller, stars shine above her. It's a very peaceful and serene piece, painted in tones of purple, lilac and light blues. Illustration of the Knight of Wands Tarot card.
