IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: PASSPORTS WITH “X” GENDER MARKER Lambda Legal wants all international travelers who use a passport with an “X” gender marker to know that your identity document is still legal and valid. A new U.S. Customs and Border Protection policy is now in effect. Some airline booking systems may not accept an “X” gender marker for international travel and instead might require “M” or “F”. Your passport with an “X” gender marker is still legal and valid. This change affects airline data systems, not your legal documents or your right to travel.
