Unpopular opinion: Chicago needs to back off the Pope.

For example, he doesn’t need to be read in on “the vision for a new White Sox stadium,” as the email headline I just saw stated.

Let him Pope.

Tonight I’ll be at a high school production of “The Addams Family” musical*, in which my niece steals the show (so I’m told, no bias whatsoever obvs). I’m warned that I’m “going to die” when I see her/the show. Wish me luck.

*No idea what it is. (And Northwestern is also staging it!?) 🤷‍♀️

Entering Week 6 of rebuilding the half of my home destroyed in a July plumbing accident. Every morning, the loveliest gentlemen arrive to do the work, step by agonizingly slow step. (And nearly every day, I chase around about another insurance matter.) Hi, I’m the beleaguered but tenacious Home CEO.

Starting to rebuild half your home after a massive plumbing accident is like … being awake during surgery, without anesthesia, while instructing the surgical team what goes where and how, speaking only in their language that you aren’t fluent in, and being left with wounds long to heal.

I’m fine.
