When I was little, I was very close to my G.Gran. She used to tell me about the fae. We'd leave flowers at tree trunks for the wee people. Nana was from Glasgow. Her parents were from Oban on the Isle of Skye and the Highlands. Magda the Mystic is based on my great-grandmother. 🖤

After 4 hours at 170°f, flipping them every 30 minutes, I believe this is a success! Dehydrated oranges garlanded with cinnamon sticks. Cheap decoration that looks rustic and smells nice. It's faint but lovely. *cat for scale.

Thinly sliced raw oranges on a baking sheet with Parchment paper Baked sliced oranges on a cutting board with a yarn needle and string. The oranges are strung with a few cinnamon sticks. The garland of oranges and cinnamon sticks are on a mini fake Yule tree which is decorated with Redlands orange baubles and string lights. There is a carved wooden pumpkin and a remote for the lights and a St. Joe Brick I found in Lake Ponchartrain in Mandeville, La. My white and gray dat Lily Lizard Munster lying in a pink blanket lined wooden wine box under a table. She is looking at the camera.
