Today's awful crash in DC reminds me of the 1982 plane crash into the Potomac. My dad was a photographer for Washington Post & spent many hours on 14th St bridge taking photos. I remember him describing this heartbreaking boot; I can't recall if he took it. Thinking of the families and rescuers 💔
