So McMahon doesn't seem too familiar with the specifics of the Trump Title IX regulations, which are now in place after a federal judge tossed Biden's Title IX rule.

Once again the current admin proves its actions on #TitleIX have nothing to do with creating equity for women. @usedgov.bsky.social rescinded the Biden admin guidance that required schools to give proportional NIL compensation to women and men in athletics: www.ed.gov/about/news/p...

Moments ago @usedgov.bsky.social issued another Title IX Dear Colleague Letter. It directs all schools to reevaluate all open investigations to ensure their compliance with the 2020 regulations. This will sow confusion and prolong investigations, and cause irreparable harm to survivors.

Don’t fall for the lies: the administration’s efforts to gut Title IX protections have nothing to do with the rights and safety of women and girls. I spoke to @19thnews.org on behalf of @itsonus.bsky.social about the latest attacks on Title IX: 19thnews.org/2025/02/trum...
Education rules from 2020 are returning to 'protect women.' Are vulnerable students at risk?
Critics of Trump's education department view the dismissal of Biden's Title IX rewrite as yet another anti-trans attack.

BREAKING: Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish OSHA.

The entire text of the bill reads "The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."

If @usedgov.bsky.social actually wanted to protect the rights and safety of women and girls, they’d expand requirements for men to receive comprehensive sexual assault prevention ed. Not return to a rule that gives rapists more rights than survivors under Title IX www.nytimes.com/2025/01/31/u...
Under Trump, Schools Tells to Change Sexual Misconduct, Title IX Guidance
The guidance bolsters the rights of students accused of sexual misconduct and scraps Biden-era rules extending protections to L.G.B.T.Q. students.

Today’s federal funding freeze will be devastating for domestic violence and rape crisis centers, which rely heavily on federal grants to pay for counseling services, crisis hotlines, child advocacy centers, legal aid, temporary housing, and more. This will only fuel the epidemic of sexual violence.

If women and girls on campus are sick of having their rights eroded it’s because the 2020 Title IX regulations made it harder for them to report sexual violence, and gave them less rights and protections than students accused of sexual assault. Via @insidehighered.com @knottkatherine.bsky.social
Confusion Follows Trump Order on Sex and Gender

The executive order could eventually change how the federal government enforces Title IX and other laws, though there’s no immediate impact on colleges. #HigherEd #EDUSky #AcademicSky bit.ly/4h7SxKL

The irony is not lost on me that those who argued Title IX needed to be changed in 2017 to ensure due process for students accused of sexual assault are the same people supporting ending birthright citizenship so the government can try to deny due process to children born to immigrants.

There are many things that have been said about the anti-trans EO. My hot take is it’s case in point why comprehensive reproductive health education is needed in school. Sex is not determined at conception - it is determined around 6-7 weeks into a pregnancy.

Today's House vote to ban trans athletes does nothing to make sports safer or more equitable for women and girls. In fact, it poses the risk of them being forced to comply with physical "inspections" and increase incidents of sexual abuse. via @thehill.com thehill.com/homenews/hou...
