📣 Interesting news from the World Snooker Tour today that extra seats have been accommodated for this year's World Championship at the Crucible Theatre.

These added seats will be located towards the black spot end, near where the players make their walk-ons.

Judd Trump made breaks of 61, 69, 63, 117 and 75 as he whitewashed Zhou Yuelong 6-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the Players Championship.

Trump is now eight out of eight against Zhou in ranking competition.

Higgins hit a break of 133 en route to a 6-1 victory over an out-of-sorts number one seed Neil Robertson; Allen saw off Wu Yize, 6-3.

We are very sorry to hear about the passing of former referee Peter Williamson, aged 77.

Williamson officiated on snooker's top flight for 30 years, retiring in 2021.
